Dubai Beaches

The hotels private beach and pool areas are generally reserved for the hotel’s guests. Outsiders can sometimes get in by paying a daily fee. City hotels usually have a bus that runs between the hotel and Dubais beach areas.

Dubai’s best beach area is located south of Jumeirah. Here there are long fine-grained sandy beaches. In Sharjah there is also a long public beach. Remember that women may not only wear a bathing suit at the beach. To sunbathe or swim “topless” is completely prohibited in the entire country and may result in severe penalties.

On the beaches there is a flag system, the flags indicate the following: Green flag – permitted to bathe Red flag – bathing prohibited. In some parts of the sea there may be strong under water currents. Then there will be signs stating “Dangerous currents” which warns of this.
