Al Ghurair City - One of Dubai’s first shopping center on Al Rigga Road in Deira. Shoes, textiles, electronics, perfume and clothes shops. Here you will find good shops that sell children’s clothing. Good bookstore. Also just right for anyone looking for leather sandals and divine good chocolate desserts.
Oasis Center - Located at the corner of Khalid bin Al Walid and Dubai Trade Center. Over 300 shops selling fashion, music, sporting goods, cosmetics, electronics, etc. On the top floor there are several fast food restaurants and on street level the popular “Cafe Paul”.
Deira City Center – One of Dubai’s largest shopping centre’s with over 300 shops. Ordinary business, and many brand shops and Carrefour supermarket and Magic Planet for children. Several theatres. Hotel Sofitel with a popular pub.
Dragon Mart - Built in the shape of a dragon. Sells primarily products imported from China. Located about 30 kilometres outside of Dubai.
Dubai Mall - The newest and largest shopping centre in Downtown Dubai has a lot to offer (for the time being at least!). A shopper’s paradise with over 1,200 stores, the world’s largest gold souk with 220 stores and “Fashion Island” to haute couture – fashion out of the ordinary. The area is also available in aquarium, an ice rink of Olympic dimensions, and the world’s tallest building, Burj Dubai.
Festival Center - New shopping centres in Dubai Festival City with several shops, restaurants and cafes. Just next door, with a walkway between them, is Ikea.
Ibn Battuta Mall - An architecturally beautiful shopping center which is located 35 km outside Dubai to Abu Dhabi. Including 21 cinemas, restaurants, play area for children, etc..
Karama Souk – A large area where many of India and Pakistan have their small shops. Here you’ll find watches (pirated), leather goods, water pipes, Arabian coffee pots, pashmina shawls, casual wear, etc. Remember to bargain & barter!
Lamcy Plaza - Department stores, shopping centres and a few fast food restaurants. Considered to be a little easier gping and not so expensive. Is located in Karama.
Madinat Jumeirah, Al Sufouh Road, – Stately and lavish shopping mall that is a shock to the eye. To the outside is similar to the skyscrapers in Saudi Arabia, but the inside is a cozy old Arabic is mood. The shopping centre is hiding a theatre.
Mall of the Emirates - Dubai’s largest and most popular shopping center has plenty to tempt you with. An artificial ski slope, a first-class cinema and a wide range of shops are on the menu plus Magic Planet for families with children. Located about 20 km from Dubai towards Abu Dhabi.
Mercato Shopping center – Built on Italian Renaissance theme! Regarded as an attraction with its 90 shops, cafes, restaurants and six movie theatres. Located at the Jumeirah Beach Road.
At Jumeira Beach Road are also several smaller shopping malls, including Jumeira Plaza, Magrudy Center, The Beach Center, Palm Strip, and The Village.
Twin Towers - A shopping centre at Baniyas Road in Deira with branded stores, including Cerutti, Emporio Armani, Hugo Boss, Mulberry and Pierre Cardin.
Wafi City - Over 200 shops selling mainly fashion, many world famous brand shops. Several restaurants including Planet Hollywood, a Spanish tapas restaurant, Thai restaurant and a couple of high class international restaurants .Wafi City is close to Garhoud bridge, the Bur Dubai side and is built in the style of Egyptian pyramids and sphinxes …! Worth a visit even if you do not want to go shopping.
